I don't know that I'd want to dress like that everyday (I mean, really, I'm not about to give up the casual clothes I fought to hard to get to wear to work!). But how I would love to had somewhere to dress like that sometime!
Hello Laura - I do love your new blog! I found this article in The New York Times this morning, and thought you might be interested in a read: "Playing With Pictures: The Art of Victorian Photocollage" which is currently at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
I do apologize if this comment comes off dumb, but where could I purchase such fine dresses? I live in a very small place and am not very able to make my own clothing like the such. Thank you'all very much.
Hello Amber! These particular dresses in this post are from the designer Skin.Graft. Their web site is: http://skingraftdesigns.com/ They have some truly amazing garments. You can also check on Etsy (etsy.com) for Steampunk/Victorian themed clothes. Sometimes you can find beautiful stuff from up and coming designers that are very reasonably priced. Best of luck and I'd love to hear about what you find!
